"It feels very special to be at such an inspirational event. I learned that the future is not a destination its a place we create and that you dont have to be too great to make a change. You just have to do what ever you can, when ever you can."
"Almost 50% of the world's population is female yet we feel a minority. The International Womens Day Breakfast gathers feminists and inspires and empowers us all. 2 in 3 women in the Pacific willl experience violence i ntheir lifetume and 2 in 6 women in Australia will. This is an astonishing statistic that needs to be changed and the breakfast has inspired me to do all possible to make a difference."
"I learnt that there still is gender disequality and its very unfair ffor many women in underdeveloped countries. Through all of this disequality there are many passionate people who are trying to make it all better, and I can too!"
"It is important to hear from inspiring guest speakers and connect with others to start a discussion about steps we can all take to create a better future."
"I am writing to thank you so much for organising my seat at the table at this mornings 2015 Plan International 'Because I am a Girl Breakfast'.
Listening to the inspiring speakers and enjoying a meal with some like minded women, young and old, was something that I will treasure and use to my advantage as I seek to make a small change in this world.
Having the small session with Mia afterwards was a highlight and her words were so valuable and repeatable and applicable!
Particularly 'with awareness comes a responsibility to change'.
What a morning to be a part of!"
